Combo Test - CC pls

I was trying to animate a combo in another file since I didn't want to ruin my timeline in my other SVS flash, I need some CC on how I can slow down the pace of my animation, I'm sure you'll notice I made it too fast, it's hard to see what's going on, so I was wondering if I should put more impact into the attacks or maybe more build-up to them with more impact, but it's harder to do with something that's supposed to be fast and not hit too hard. So if you guys could just let me know what you think might improve the animation and I'll work off it then repost it with your suggestions

Honestly, it looks fine to me. I can pretty much tell what's going on, but maybe it might help to put a very minuscule pause after each of Sonic's hits. A slight camera shake may help with the impact as well. They're not supposed to be hard hits, but to me it's looking like Sonic is punching a pillow, Lol. Btw, take what I say with a grain of salt cuz I'm bad at making fight scenes xD That very first hit seems a bit off though. Something about the way Sanji slides back is strange to me. Idk, definitely wait for some others to CC before taking my advice to heart lol Where on earth did you find those sonic sprites though??

Most of them I made myself, the sweep is in the games, the punch coming in is just him running with an edit of his arm being up for the punch, the rest was just me wanting some original stuff lol

Edit* Dang, that screen shaking made it look about a million times more clear, thanks a ton man haha

I understand what you mean. By Frame by Frame skewing and resizing, you can execute slow pace fighting, if you want to go for more realism, or to highlight an impact or a build up of an attack. To do this, add 5-10 frames before the actual punch sprite if you're animating in 24 fps. 10-25 if you're in 30 fps. It all depends on the sprite's pose and how you can make them real, and maintain their flow. If you give me the .fla, I can show an example.

lol nice combo, although wats bugging me is how after the first clash sonic dashes back in and he stops to do a hit. it just looks rEALLY unnatural. And i see your problem but unfortunately its very difficult to help you through words :/ I would have to show you :c

All of my flashes are, but maybe it's because it's CS3, do you use Flash 8?

From what I saw it looked really good! The combo flowed nicely and the shake added that nice touch to it :3 You know you've done a good job when it looks epic without sound effects haha XD

Just got home from work, just got the new file and yea I meant flash 8 lol it works now. So, when I'm done want me to post it here or send you the flash file back?

Ah, I see what you mean about the pause looking unnatural now. Yeah, it's kinda hard to explain but it's like Sonic should 'roll' into the attack. Roll isn't the best word to describe it, but it's the only thing I can think of. Damn you got some super eyes to catch that
