aw man i remember that challenge. It took me so many tries,

but then i discovered you can just jump into bowsers face and spam fire fox and win with little effort.

i wish i had a camera though because one time i got all the legendary pokemon (except mew) in that one match and ended up killing bowser twice. then he suicided on his last life. but what made that mach really embarrising for me though. is just after killing mewtwo and having 1 life left for ganon, a bom-omb appeared just as i was attacking and i got blown up. I almost made it back to the stage but got worlock punched by ganon......*sigh*

This is my absolute most favorite moment from any video game. I was probably around 8 years old when I first did this battle. It caught me so off guard, and that was the best thing about it.

Wow, looking back at that has reminded me just how uncreative the games of today are.

graphics are more important than fun or creativity

couldn't agree more. but I will say games like AC are making a comeback with good storyline's. I haven't played them myself, but I haven't heard many negative things about AC and I've heard a lot of praise for their storyline's.

Then again, i'm not much of a gamer anymore so I can't say for sure just how uncreative things are.

I've played AC and AC2, but none of the new ones because it doesn't really hold my interest. I think they have great ideas, however, the execution of the ideas aren't really up to par with the quality the games posses. That, and for a while a new AC installment was being released like every 8 months or something lmao. They're great games, but they're not so great that they can be released every so often with minor changes to the gameplay IMO.

only the ACII storylines are interconnected (ACII, Brotherhood, Revelations). the rest are separate.
I only played II, it was kinda fun, probably didn't help that i literally was only able to play it for a couple hours every week because my 360 is at my dad's house. The storyline is good though, but the controls are kinda wonky and it gets repetitive kinda.
Storylines are good, but when a game focuses on story more than anything else (Last of Us), imo it doesn't really make a game good. Its a good story sure, but if you wanted to focus on the story more than anything why not write a book or make a movie or something?

Just to be able to hear the Clash of Light and Shadow theme in Illusion of Gaia/Time, I would buy and play it all over again.
Btw anyone here who also finished the game 100%?

Persona doesn't have the best graphics but it's a damn good game franchise and I'm super hyped for Persona 5.

Or maybe different aspects of a game are of various levels of importance depending on the intentions of the developers and the nature of the game

Re: your favorite moments from past games

oh shit lmfao xD uhh lemme think on it

edit: okay okay okay. I went back and looked at the game.

So yeah, hack'n'slash games are just not my cup of tea. Mostly because these games tend to do a lot of telling you what you need to do vs showing you what you need to do.

You run around smacking creatures with your sword until the game is all like "PRESS THE CIRCLE BUTTON TO DO YOUR COOL FINISHING KILLING BLOW ANIMATION." I remember in the beginning of the game there's a point where you're walking and some rubble falls from the ceiling, a little cutscene plays of you rolling out the way, and that was it. That was literally it. Why the FUCK does there need to be a cutscene of just the main character dodging some rubble?! Was it to add suspense? That's not suspenseful? I'm like "oh shit the ceiling is fa- oh wait. I don't need to do anything. Game's doing it for me. just gotta wait it out. alright." Oh hey I get to fly on this monster thing to go to the other part of the city, maybe I'll be able to fly it around a little bi- Nope. The game just flys you where you need to go and ya just shoot some monsters out da sky. Well at least I have multiple weapons to choose fr- Nope. Bitch, you only get 2 swords and dats all ya need. Well, shit, for being War, the horseman well versed in the art of combat you sure are poorly equipped. I mean yeah you get a gun, like 2 scythes, and a gauntlet later but those weren't primary weapons you could use. And for all the running through stages there sure are a lot of puzzles to keep ya entertained while you go through them... oh wait there aren't any, unless you count finding wave after wave of bitch ass demons a puzzle. I get some people enjoy that but it was a very boring game to me.
