small tablets do work fine.
it's just that, because they're small, you get used to draw with your wrist. bigger tablets are better because you have to use your arm more.

yeah i'm going to look in a little website we have here in Portugal called OLX.
Most of the stuff there is used but in great shape. if a cheap new tablet is like 100$ i might get one at like 50 or so in OLX

A tablet? Aww man, but I've been doing well in sketching + scanning, my sig was me just doing high britness and an hour of erasing and coloring only with Paint.net. Still need a tablet tho.

Holy crap, Paint.net? I thought that was done in Photoshop or something, but now that you mentioned it, I do see Paint.Net all over it, and the sketches.

It was crazy hard, but I finally got it done, it is still a bit messy tho, I'm still gonna wait for a tablet for my next sketch but who knows.

I'd move on and keep drawing, but with your current set of skills you could really use a tablet. I can expect better drawings.

word. now i've thought about sketching+scanning for a couple drawings I was working on but then I gave up. especially after my scanner went to the crap-shed.

You can still use the scanner to enhance or revamp your art work or sketches. Sometimes, I'll color my work on my computer when I don't have any physical resources at the moment, like crayons, color pencils, inks, etc.

i used to do that too. like i drew some really cool dragon or something during math class (usually how it goes) and then I brought it home and colored it. seems only natural

i've been drawing seriously for three or four years i think.

on another note, my hd just died which means i lost everything.

E V E R Y T H I N G.
i lost rare sprites, about 30 gb of art references along with a bunch of other things that you just can't find anymore on the web. and oh, my art.

there's a small chance i'll be able to retrieve all that stuff, but it's such a small chance that i'm not even counting on it.

welp.

well, that's life. I remember the RHG tournament back in 2010 i believe. I made a minute-long animation for it in 3 weeks. turns out my HD fried and as such I had to animate 1 minute of stick figures fighting in a week cause the limit was a month. ended up losing cause I couldn't finish it on time.
