Wierd lines after breaking apart?

on 12/14/2012, 5:14 am
I've been using the break apart thingie for sprites and stuff, and for some times I notice that the lines look a bit off, like they are shifting during the animation? Has anyone else noticed this?

like the black pixels around the sprites, move a bit all the time?

if that's the case...then i dunno, it's just like it, you can't really change it, when you break apart it keeps the original EXTREAME pixel quality..it's supposed to be like that.

but if this is not the case i have no idea what you're talking about Very Happy

The threshold is set to 1 and the smoothing is set to pixels. I didn't notice it at all on my previous animation. I used it to cut apart a group a sprites and did a walking animation, and it looked fine :'(

Nvm, I think I got it how I like it now :D

It happens if you manually position the frames. Sub-pixel offsets manifest in "pixel shifting" that is very obvious without filtering/anti aliasing, which you don't want anyway because that defeats the purpose of sprites.

Manually positioning, this can be nudging with the arrow keys or using any of the align operations. Ideally you should have your sprite frames aligned in raster format before you do any conversions in Flash.

If it is still happening then you got me.
