Sigh, Flash.

on 5/27/2012, 3:49 pm
I've been working on my animation just like always. A relatively simple animation. But there's a problem.
EVERY TIME, on the 3rd scene, exactly on the 217th frame, it tells me Flash 8 has stopped working and mehmeh, then it closes.

I've had this problem twice now. At first, I realized it was the HTML, because the SWF exported just fine and I could view it externally on the Flash Player. So, what I did, was I went to settings, then I lowered the HTML quality from 'Best' to 'high' and everything was fine. But NOW, it's happening again, and I just set the quality to a lower level, but it doesn't do anything anymore. It crashes on the exact same frame, every time.

If anyone knows what to do to permanently fix this, please let me know.

Also, no, it's not the filesize. I've had way bigger filesize SWF's and it all ran just fine without crashing.

Maybe it's something in the scene causing this? Try removing things.

I did, but when I come to realize, that scene doesn't have nearly as much elements as other scenes that have run nicely on other flashes I've made. :/

Can I try it out? To see if it works on mine.

Press alt + ctrl + shift and hold those buttons then open flash
This will reset flash like if it was the first day you installed it
