on 10/27/2011, 2:10 pm

http://youtu.be/5LSOfVyJGMU

HELP ME DAMMT, btw go ahead and laugh, I made this for shits and giggles but it explains my problem.

EDIT: additional details, I recently moved everything from my desktop into a folder. also, when pasting it into flash before it came out as a flash0, now when I special paste it, it becomes a bitmap.

I didn't watch your video so yeh

You could have just told us what's your problem in a post, it takes much less time to load and such (I have terrible internet)

Let me just assume that you're having problems with copy pasting directly from GIMP to Flash. Right?

yush. that is mah problem.

long story short for those who don't want to watch hilarious video (I made it cuz it was easier)

I used to open gimp, make the BG transparent, get rid of the color, copy and paste the sprites into gimp and they'd appear as flash0's.

now, I can't do that. I can't copy and paste sprites into flash regularly I have to special paste it as a bitmap. if there was a shortcut for special paste, then I wouldn't mind so much. but there isn't... HELP ME PREEZE DX

YES IT'S TRUE AND I'LL TELL YOU HOW

IF YOU USE THE AWESOME AND MIGHTY FLASH 8 LIKE THE HANDSOME MAN THAT IS WRITING THIS POST THEN YOU JUST HAVE TO DO THIS

GO TO THE EDIT MENU > KEYBOARD SHORCUTS

THEN YOU'LL SEE A NEW WINDOW, THEN JUST RIGHT AFTER CURRENT, CLICK ON THE DUPLICATE SET BUTTON GO FIGURE OUT WHY BUT IT'S NEEDED

YOU'LL END UP WITH SOMETHING LIKE "Macromedia Standard Copy"

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY YOU HAVE DONE IT

....
ummm idk what happened with me

Did you check to make sure you were on the layer of the sprites in Gimp? That may be an issue?
