Project: Celestial Fuse

on 2/20/2013, 1:31 pm

Go easy on me, it's my first time Laughing

This was made in (believe it or not) Adobe After Effects. I don't have access to Flash and I'm more experienced with AF. Besides, I absolutely love the fact that you can load PSD-files with their layers intact (can you do that in Flash too I wonder). Once I get a chance to try flash out, I will.

This is a concept of a massive crossover I've had for a long time. It's just a small piece of an intro for a supposedly series.
I know, already it seems absurdly overambitious. However, I don't really expect to see this project from beginning to end.
As I mentioned in my introduction thread, I do actual pixel-art as well. One day I plan to make animations with original sprites only, so consider this project just a sort of training or warm up.

Your feedback would be most appreciated ^^

Well that's certainly an interesting concept for a crossover series. I like it!

My very first attempt at actual sprite animation. Took me whole day to organise all the Photoshop-file, cause apparently my version of After Effects refuses to import GIF-files T_T

what do you think?

Mario's was good

But when Sanji was doing the whirlwind spinning kick it was a bit sketchy I suggest skewing.

Alright, skewing! that's right!...

What's skewing? Is that when you slightly distort the sprites in between frames?

Don't put your hopes up. If this turns into a chore and/or gets in the way of my work or other projects, I can't guarantee anything.

My friend! This looks promising. Your parallax effect in the backgrounds were noticeably seen. Do you make tweens or do you generally animate frame by frame?

And your first Sprite Animation. Was that done in after effects, too?

The animation is complete and in the... well, "Completed Animations"-section.

So, locking down the thread then?
