Well no, this, while it is a very precise and good technique, is also very time consuming and inefficient.
Most drawn animation are made with drawing with the pencil tool (with the use of a tablet of course)

Well if you have to make a reference for your character, you can always sketch it on paper, and then use a scanner to get the image on your computer.____________________________________________ |
