Good god, the alignment is very off.

And isn't the white bg still in the sprites? If so then you still got to remove it (and no, please don't trace for the love of god)

This is very simple though and can be done in other programs. All you're doing is taking out a part of the process of sprite animating in Flash which is :

Select sequence of sprites > Take out the bg > Copy and paste it on Flash > Animate the sequence > Use it.
At least, that's what I do.

lol this was a nice thought and all but overall you do this in Fireworks and a couple of other programs. I mean Fireworks makes it easier to get rid the white bg.

You have no idea how bad of a tutorial this is.

this actually takes more time then just opening up gimp, photoshop, fireworks, etc. Opening your sheet, Copy and pasting a segment of sprites into flash and just animating them in a movie clip.

Not to mention that leo already pointed out how bad the alignment is...

so yeah... kind of not helping o_o Sorry, don't mean to sound harsh...

I didn't say no offense your tutorial sux, I said it's not very good

second, he made this tutorial to help people, but giving people bad advice in animating is not helping. Again, I was subtle about it. His method is not only bad, but it takes time a lot more time then it would then to just copy and paste a sequence of sprites from fireworks.

tal it isn't helpful at all. it takes more time to do this then just copy and pasting a sequence into flash. it's literally a four step process

open fireworks
load up sheet
copy sequence
paste

taddaaaa.

I'd just like to point out the alignment was off and that all of this can be done quickly in Flash anyhow... thanks though.
