He has a point. True, it would be harder to meet it's criteria, but there could be a LOT made within a month.
But seeing as anyone who can get their animation featured WEEKLY on the portal is a LOT easier. So yeah.

Also, all the good animations are WIPs. Eric, KAloaded and I want to see the final product.

It only has to be complete if it's still being worked on. If it's a discarded but very good animation, I wouldn't want it to go to waste unappreciated.

I'll go look into the Unfinished Animations forum too. KAloaded can help me there too.

Glad to see that Animation of the Week hasn't been forgotten. I've seen some great animations since the last AotW that definitely deserve the title. But I do think that the animator's vid should stay up for only a week. Maybe a monthly Top 5 or something. I saw someone mention an "Animation of he Month", or a Top 5, I think if they were combined it would make sense. That way, if there was alot of good animations made over that month, everyone has a decent chance of winning since it's 5 videos that are chosen. I haven't read everyone's suggestions and posts, so don't rip my head off, if you guys already came to an agreement lol.

I almost forgot that Eric wanted to make my DBZ vid AotW lol. If you guys want, you can just use my youtube version. I've changed a number of things regarding the sound, some effects, and I changed some fighting scenes completely. Plus it has music lol. It's probably the most complete version of that vid that I have. And to be honest, I haven't really worked on that vid in ages. I'm pretty content with just having the youtube version as the "complete" version of that animation. The only part of the animation that isn't in the youtube version, is the part before they become SSJ's. And that part isn't all that good, to be honest, and I don't have the time or patience to do any tweaking lol....I don't intend on uploading any other version of it at this point...so yeah, just use the Youtube version if you still think it's worthy of AotW.

Originally, I thought there would be a chance for everyone to make a great animation for a monthly promotion, but there may be a lot, and a monthly Top 5 sounds good. 5 is fair. Lol.

Exactly. It's all reasonable. What you said there. This is a small community, but monthly Top 5 would be a great custom for the forum. For sure, they will gain that understanding of what it takes for an animation to get that monthly spotlight. It just connects well. I would like Eric's thoughts on this, and he'll be a happy boy once he sees that he can promote your DBZ animation, :].

Yeah, a Monthly Top 5 just seems to fit the site, just as you said. Not to mention it'll be easier to monitor, since you'll only have to renew the entries once every month, instead of every week. I'm wondering what Eric is thinking about this as well. Good point, he'll probably be relieved that he can promote my DBZ now, including plenty of other great vids from other animators that were made since then....I'll definitely be a happy boy myself lol

Guess we'll just have to wait and see what he thinks....
